Caiman Haiti Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to providing relief to poor, distressed and underprivileged individuals living in Haiti. Our central purpose is to develop academic scholarships and educational programs to help the people of Haiti overcome daily challenges and find a path to a better future through life-changing opportunities. We supply them with educational materials, medical supplies, food, clothing and other essential items.Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and the second most densely populated. Still reeling from the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake, Haitians’ homes and schools have not been fully rebuilt. There is an inconsistency of electricity, food and clean water; and many promised relief funds have not yet arrived. Deficient sanitation systems, poor nutrition, and inadequate health services plague the country. In addition, limited access to quality education continues to be a key factor hindering Haiti’s social and economic development.
Imagine waking up in the mornings not knowing where your next meal will come or if you will survive the day without food! Imagine not having a comfortable place to lay your head at nights! Or not being able to sleep because you are so hunger! Imagine drinking water so dirty, you would think it's from the sewer! Imagine watching the ones you love around you die from hunger or sickness! Imagine being so sick and not getting the treatment you need, health deteriorating, knowing that the end is close! This is the reality for those living in Haiti. They are faced with what you and I would consider the worst. But we have a chance to give them hope. We may not be able to save everyone but we can join forces and save as much as we can. One person can make a difference and we should all try. Kindness is never wasted. One of the best feeling is knowing that someone is happy because of you; because you cared enough to help.
Gabriel Laine, founder of Caiman Haiti Foundation, was born and raised in Haiti. Eight years ago, he experienced a revelation that inspired him to personally take up the fight against the poverty, lack of education, hunger and health deficiency in his home country. Over the years he has been able to bring aid to hundreds of people. On his most recent trip, he was able to bring medicals supplies, educational tools, food, etc., to 1,500 individual. For three years he led a “Feed the People” program but unfortunately lack of resources disrupted his progress.
Caiman Haiti Foundationinvites you to join in the effort to rebuild the lives of the Haitian people. Help us, help Haiti fight against poverty, hunger, lack of education and health deficiency. Contributions to our foundation will be used to purchase food, medical supplies, educational materials and much more, along with paying the shipping costs to get these much needed items to the people of Haiti. It will also be used to establish an after-school program for not only children in Haiti but also, Haitian American children here in the US.
Please understand that the Haitian people desperately need your help. They are literally at the brink of despair. Your generous support will give them much needed hope and change their lives for the best.
