There is a global problem with inequality in education. Thinking even is how we start solving that problem.
We are starting with Victoria.
The VCE system forces students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds to compete with students that have much greater access to resources.
One of the major differences between these two groups of students is their access to private tutoring.
Think Even aims to give the highest quality of tutoring to every student by using a Pay-It-Forward model.
For every student who can afford to pay $50 for an hour of tutoring, a student in a low-socioeconomic area will receive the same service for free.
To get off the ground, however, we are asking for your help. For every $50 this campaign raises we will tutor a student from one of the poorest schools in Metro Victoria for free for one hour. The campaign will last one month before we are hopefully self-sufficient enough to go it alone.
Donate whatever you can afford. Even the smallest amount will help feed our tutors while they do important work bringing equity back in to education.
