The Unit - short film

The Unit is a thought provoking short film focused on a family in the last days of earth. The sun has become too hot and is beginning to consume the earth. The government has discontinued electricity to all it's citizens and has just enough in reserves for that fateful moment. Our cast is an American family that has faced tragedy and is dealing with unforgiveness. In the final hour as they await "the unit" to turn on; they must deal with their issues and decide to make peace with eachother or take their anger to the grave.

As a filmmaker raising funds to produce your passion is one of the hardest things to accomplish. I'm a creative person by nature and throw myself into projects that I've either written or optioned from fellow filmmakers and writers. I am an award winning director and have an amazing crew that works with me on these projects. We predominantly produce family and faith based projects. We feel it's important for our audience to become immersed in our films and take something from it.  At this stage shooting a short film without a budget with the production quality and crew that we have isn't feasable anymore. The funding will be used to pay actors, crew, craft services (a well fed crew is a happy crew) and location renting if needed. The time frame to raise these funds really depends on you, the "investor/donor". We would like to start rolling cameras on this amazing short film in late March. Our goal is to have it edited and entered into various film festivals throughout the country.
