Shutter-Happy Photography is embarking on a portrait project to honor local moms.
As moms ourselves, our staff knows how rewarding, trying, fulfilling, and difficult being a mom is. Sometimes it’s a thankless job. Sometimes we feel like we’re rockin’ it, but most times we feel like we’re not enough. Whatever our circumstances, and however successful (or unsuccessful) our day is, we’re just doing our best to play SuperMOM.
Shutter-Happy’s goal over the next several months is to find 100 amazing SuperMOMs in our community… to recognize, honor, photograph, and pamper these wonderful women… and tell their stories.
But we need your help!
Timeline:
October- Begin taking nominations
November and December- The moms will be notified of their nominations
February and March- We’ll conduct three portrait days, photographing the moms in their SuperMOM t-shirts and our capes. We’ll also be collecting video interviews from their family and friends, to produce a compilation of sweet thoughts and greetings.
April- Host an event to celebrate the moms, unveil their portraits, and showcase the interviews.
How we’re promoting the project and the project donors:
September- We've been busy showing off some of our favorite SuperMOMs and promoting businesses that are already on board with the project.
October- We'll publish an official blog post and announce all over facebook and Instagram.
August, September, and October- We’ll have half-page ads in the Fair Oaks Ranch Living magazine, highlighting our Platinum sponsors. Press releases will be printed in the local newspapers.
January- The 100 SuperMOM t-shirts will be printed, with our logo and participating businesses’ logos and names listed on the back.
April- All participating sponsors will be highlighted at the event- in our video production and on the red carpet photo backdrop.
Exactly how you can help:
Give a flat donation- to help with the cost of the shirts, postcards, advertising, venue, printing their portraits, food, beverages, cake, red carpet photo backdrop, etc
Donate your time- to approach other businesses for donations, help with hair or make-up during the photo shoots, address postcards, help us with the video editing, help us decorate for the party, cleaning up after the party, etc
Donate items- give something sweet to the moms at one (or all three) of the photo shoot days, give something to all 100 goody bags at the party, donate one big item that can be given away during a random drawing at the party, etc
