The Shoe Project

$20 of $1,000 goal

Raised by 1 person in 11 months
The Shoe Project started as a failed business idea. Buying and reselling shoes from Salvation Army, John Ferguson, 12, ended up with too many shoes and too little revenue. Without much profit, John began to donate the shoes, rebranding The Shoe Project into a nonprofit. For the past three years, we've put shoes on more than 15,000 people in more than 50 countries with the help of 500 volunteers and 50 partner organizations.

How it Works
  1. You make a donation using a PayPal account or a credit/debit card to PayPal Giving Fund (a 501(c)(3) charitable organization).
  2. After the deduction of GoFundMe platform and payment processing fees, PayPal Giving Fund delivers the funds it receives to the chosen charity on a monthly basis.*
* If, after reasonable efforts, PayPal Giving Fund cannot deliver donations to this charity, the funds may be donated to another charity per PayPal Giving Fund’s policies.
