Rich's Art Supply Fund

$1,725 of $100,000 goal

Raised by 17 people in 43 months
If I were writing this from the future, I'd be thanking you for helping me reach my goal of becoming one of the century's greatest artists.

My name is Rich Rose, an artist with immense talent, drive and work ethic but lacking art supplies and a proper studio.

Together, we can make art that inspires and brings hope to others. Fulfilling my potential as an artist and positively affecting others is my mission and I need your help.

Your generous donation means so much to me as I go from starving artist to thriving artist. So I'd like to express my gratitude toward you for being part of the success that lies ahead.

Artists can and should do more, and with your help the sky's the limit.

Here's something y'all don't know about me. As a toddler, my dad nicknamed me Herman. As in "Herman the Turtle." Perhaps a cartoon character from his youth or the type of tortoise. This was because I'm wired to be S-L-O-W especially in comparison to my hyperactive younger brother by 14 months.

This photo reminded me of that and my decision to switch things up in 2017 to work at a slower more natural pace. Which means I'll be producing less art but of much higher quality.

In a world completely addicted to speed, stress and anxiety, as usual I'm taking the opposite approach. Swapping adrenaline for being present in the moment. Listening more, letting things flow, and making waves rather than being swept up in the current.

Ironic considering I have thing for rabbits. Anyway, I'll let you know how it goes.

As a former ad guy, this is so true. I often think how great the art world would be if more advertising people had the balls to jump ship.

While I will never ever work in advertising again, I greatly miss the brilliant minds I was constantly around.

Sometimes I can be serious about art because it's no joke.
