Red Masque New Album & Music Video

$860 of $1,800 goal

Raised by 21 people in 4 months
In late September 2017, Philadelphia art rock band The Red Masque  started work on their fifth studio album (working title "Fathomless") at PhillyJam Recording. Helmed by owner / engineer and Sigma Sound alumnus, Mark J. Montoro, PhillyJam is also where TRM vocalist Lynnette Shelley recently recorded with Green Cathedral on their album "Winter's Veil" .

The new album will feature the songs "Fathomless", "Fearless," "Where Once Were Rivers", "The Shallows", "Serpentine", "Malum", "Snow Moon", "Silver Scales" and "Sand & Sea." The band was also joined in the studio by guest violinist Alice Marie .

As of March 2018, the band is nearing completion on recording the initial tracks and will be starting to mix shortly. The new album should be available by the summer.

In conjunction with this recording, the band will be working with filmmaker Jay Miller to create an official music video for "Fathomless".

The Red Masque are seeking to raise money for both the production costs of this music video as well as for the cd duplication and mastering costs. Any additional money raised over the asked for amount will go back towards paying the significant costs already invested in the recording process and / or to get an upgraded CD product.

The Red Masque New Album / New Music Video UPDATE

New Album "Fathomless" Update
HI Everyone. We thought we'd give you an update on how the new album and music video are progressing. We are almost finished mixing Fathomless. This past month we added the last vocal backing track, as well as the violin work by guest violinist Alice Marie (who we hope to be able to bring out with us for some live shows as schedules allow. We have finished final mixes for most of the songs on the album and will be wrapping up mixing work on the rest shortly.

We are very excited to soon be able to release Fathomless, as we feel that is has some of our strongest material to date on it - both in terms of writing and in production. Mark J. Montoro, the owner and engineer at Philly Jam Recording has been wonderful to work with and we hope to continue to work with him in the future.

Music Video Shoot Update

The band recently shot a music video for "Fathomless" with filmmaker Jay Miller this past May. Special thanks to Gina Andreoli for the use of her studio space and to Jay for shooting the video! Jay has sent the band the footage and we are currently doing some final tweaks but the new video should be released very shortly. Keep watching our facebook page or your inbox for its debut.

Please Help Us Reach Our Fundraising Goal
Please help fund the production costs for this new album and video at www.gofundme.com/theredmasque

We are still $1000 short of our goal.
Can you help us reach our fundraising target?

100 percent of the money raised will be used towards cd duplication and mastering costs, as well as the costs of the video. The band has already spent a considerable sum in the studio, where they have been working for almost a year now, and if there is additional money raised it will go back towards these expenses.

Please help spread the word about our GoFundMe campaign at http://www.gofundme.com/theredmasque ! For those of you who donate at the $25 or above level, in addition to getting a copy of the CD of our new album, you will also get a free download of this live show (plus other gifts). Thanks in advance! We can't do this without you.

We thank you in advance for your support as it means the world to us.

At this point we anticipate finishing studio mixing within the next couple of months, if not before then.

Last night we worked on mixing "Malum", probably our most technically difficult song to date. We still have a ways to go on it, but you can hear some of our initial mixing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5wFkytvod0

We still are asking for donations for our GoFundMe campaign. Please help spread the word to help us reach our goal. Currently we are just shy of $1000 to reach our goal, but even if we could get half of that it would go a long way towards funding the new album.
