What is the Goodness Tour? MUSIC AND ART FOR PEOPLE FACING ADVERSITY.
WE ARE DOING IT ALL AGAIN THIS FALL AND INVITING IN ADDITIONAL PARTNERSHIPS TO HELP US FLY FURTHER!
In September 2014 after a slew of fundraising events, community outreach and various forms of crowdfunding, Seattle band Luc and the Lovingtons and artist Benjamin Swatez raised the money to depart on their very own ticketless Goodness Tour. "The concept was to play free concerts up and down the West coast, for people experiencing different forms of adversity." On The Goodness Tour, Luc and the Lovingtons played 10 shows in shelters and tent cities for the homeless among many other outreach shows listed below.
In addition to Luc & The Lovingtons playing each stop, the 4th band member, painter Benjamin Swatez, painted live during each set, inviting all in the vicinity to join in. The heart warming happenings were captured thanks to journalist/filmmaker Jeremiah Alexis and we released a short film documenting it all (See above). We knew it would be life changing. And it was just that. A life changer.
We collaborated with Harmonic Humanity, Anonymous Good, Seeds of Life and other organizations for Good along the way.
This years Goodness Tour starts on October 15th in Seattle, Washington.
We will be leading off with a private show on the roof of the Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center for Cancer patients and their family. It will continue on through the weekend doing outreach shows and then travel from Seattle to San Diego ending on November 8th. The tour will provide 21+ free shows in shelters, tent cites, hospitals, juvenile crises centers and more."The Goodness Tour's goal is to become more than just a tour," rather a conscious organization that creates a replicable model and platform for musicians and artists to provide their gifts as a therapeutic tool to people facing extreme hardship.
Our goal is to continue in perpetuity bringing "music and art to people facing adversity" across the United States and globally.
