Rebuilding Puerto Rico in Realtime

$2,925 of $25,000 goal

Raised by 69 people in 17 months

Hurricane Maria has devastated our beautiful island of Puerto Rico.  The island is still without power . Many families as well as animals are left waiting for help. As of yet there still isnt enough help on the island. Please help in donating whatever amount you can in efforts of rebuilding Puerto Rico.  Whether its 1 dollar or perhaps at this time it is difficult for you to donate. We ask you then to share this campaign. With the help of you we can Give our Mothers, fathers , children the help they need. The Freakin Rican Restaurant will be going to Puerto Rico and making sure the funds collected thru this campaign as well as a donation made from a percentage of all sales thru our online store which is www.thefreakinricanrestaurant.com/shop will be used to help those in need.  As stated in our facebook live video we want to rebuild from within.  It is our belief that in order for Puerto Rico to come back stronger from this we must show support for the businesses that have been impacted there.  Instead of bringing food and supplies from outside the island. We will use funds to support the growth and rebuilding from within. But note we will be coming with lots of supplies but we must  give back to their economy so that the island can stand on its own from its own resources.
We will update this campaign and keep you all up to date with the progress and allocation of all funds once collected.
I personally would like to thank you for taking the time out and helping our beautiful island get back to normalcy.  I plan on personally taking the trip out there with a team once I have been assured it is safe to start rebuilding.  As of today they still have no communication and electricity in most of the island. Many of us still have no word on the damage caused to our family and friends.  Needless to say they are in dire need of any help they can get. So please find it in your heart to donate. You'll certainly be changing someones tragic story. God bless you and thank you!

Con todo corazon le doy mil gracias por su ayuda
Los quiero mucho,

How are you all? As you know 85% of the island is still with out electricity. Our people still aren't receiving their packages of food and much needed supplies. So many people are sending supplies but for some reason not enough is being received. This is all to familiar now. It's unacceptable. We have set out to arrive in Puerto Rico the second week of Janauary once we take care of all scheduled catering orders. We will give you 100% accurate news from the island in real time. We ask you , please continue to help us help Puerto Rico. We love you . God bless Puerto Rico.

We just want to say , thank you to all of you who have donated. It really humbles us. The Island is still waiting for gas, diesel fuel, food and water. The chaos is no where near it's end . But I have faith that our prayers are being heard . And if we can remain
Calm , positive and grateful for everything we have God will bless us big time. Let's start talking to our neighbors, families. Let's but the phones down and pay attention to what is around us. Which is Real. Anyone one of our lives can be changed in an instant. With gratitude anything can be done. I have faith that our people will get back up and our Island will be even more beautiful. We are learning many lessons. But only he who pays attention will learn. Let's make sure that in 1 ,2 or 3 weeks we don't lose interest in Puerto Rico or the lessons that have come out of this. We need to make changes in how we interact with nature, each other's and the world around us. With love , unity and standing up for what we believe to be rite we can change this world. We love you today and always. God bless you and all of your families. And remember positive and more positive. What you think you attract. Positive attracts positive. Negative attracts Negative! LOVE YOU❤

Can’t contact your family in Puerto Rico? Here’s what to do
SEPTEMBER 21, 2017 7:04 PM

If you have not been able to contact your loved one in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria, the territory’s Federal Affairs Administration is asking people to do the following:

▪ Contact the island’s disaster relief team by e-mailing maria1@prfaa.pr.gov

Because of high volume, leaders are asking that you only send one email — no follow-ups — unless the status of your loved one has changed. Include your contact information and as many details about your family member or friend as possible.
USA.gov is suggesting the following:

▪ Call the island’s local radio station WIPR at 787-777-0940

▪ You can also try to find family and friends via the American Red Cross.

* We here at The Freakin Rican Restaurant are working tirelessly to come up with more information. Rite now lets try to keep calm till they get some power back on which hopefully should be by this weekend . They are also power on cellphone towers.. Lets pray. Any new info count on us to relay. Love you all and may god bless us!
