Caring Cradle/Cuddle Cot

This page has been set up to collect donations for the first Caring Cradle (instead of cuddle cot) to be put into Harrison Hopsital in Silverdale, WA.
What is a Caring Cradle?
It's a system that cools a pad that lays underneath a stillborn baby. This allows the family to stay with the baby for up to 5 days without having to send the baby back and forth to the morgue. As anyone can imagine, having a stillborn baby is one of the hardest things you can go through and saying goodbye is no easy task. The cradle allows the family to spend more than 24 hours with the baby to say their goodbyes.
I personally would have benefited from the Caring Cradle and know that (unfortunately) more families will too. Through the group that many women (and men) attend called M.E.N.D (mommies enduring neonatal death) we would all love to raise the $5,000 to be able to purchase this and donate it to the labor/delivery/maternity ward of this hospital in order to give families the option to use it. Because M.E.N.D is a non profit group, a group of us are collecting donations to purchase the cot and donate it to M.E.N.D which will then donate it to the hospital in memory of all babies lost too soon. With the money left over/extra money raised I would like to put together care packages which would include pamphlets for M.E.N.D, a bear to help with the empty arms sensation which is something I recieved and it helped. Also, a book to help the parents get through the road that lies ahead.

In each book that is put into these care packages we will include a label with your name, your babies name and date.
