Send The Big Bot Theory to Legoland

The Big Bot Theory is a First Lego League Team from Linwood Elementary, a Title 1 School in Spokane, Washington. We have been competing in First Lego League competitions for just 2 years. We are a team of 9 4th-7th graders.

During our Rookie season last year, we made it to the Eastern Washington State FLL Tournament and won the Project: Innovative Solutions award. We also applied for and received a provisional patent for our BinderPad invention!

This year, our team again made it to the State Tournament and won again for our Innovative solution! We applied for and received a new provisional patent for our new invention, The Eco Compactor 9000, a device that helps coffee stands reduce the volume of milk carton waste. We also get to enter the Global Innovative Solutions competition through First Lego League!

Just this week, we found out that our team, FLL #12697, has been asked to represent Washington State at the First Lego League Open Invitational at Legoland in California at the end of May! We have a very short amount of time to raise the money to help us get our amazing team there.  If you can donate, your money will help send 9 awesome kids and their coaches to Legoland to compete at a National First Lego League competition! This is the first time a Spokane Schools team has been selected to go! We are responsible for raising money to help pay for airfare, hotel and competition fees for our team.

If we are able to attend, we would be so grateful. Our team has worked so hard and learned so much, not just about lego robotics, but about what it means to be a team, to work together, and to help make our world a better place. Please help us get to Legoland!!
