The Stephens IVF Journey

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our Go Fund Me and read our story!
Clayton and I met in June 2008 and have been inseparable every since. We got married March 16th, 2014. By November 2014 we knew we were ready to start our family. We had no idea at the time the journey we were starting. Infertility wasn’t even a thought; however, infertility would consume our lives soon enough. After two years we had seen one positive pregnancy test but that would end in an early miscarriage around 5 weeks. So with no successful pregnancy we started seeing an infertility doctor and after waiting another year we would start our first set of fertility treatments. Throughout 2018 we would go through 4 separate IUI procedures. Only one of these procedures would be successful but it ended in a miscarriage of our twins around 11 weeks. Despite multiple tests and fertility treatments there is still no known reason we haven’t been able to carry a pregnancy to term. We have what is being called “unexplained infertility”.
Our next chapter on this journey is IVF. A procedure that will cost nearly $20,000. We would like to start this process as soon as possible but we have exhausted our savings going through nearly 6 years of infertility, testing and treatments.
We never imagined we would be starting a Go Fund Me to help fund our IVF journey. We also know not everyone will understand why we are doing this. Know this is not the journey we expected but this is where we are. We know God has placed children on our hearts for a purpose. While this isn’t how we expected his plan to unfold we have full faith that He is in control and will guide us through anything we have up ahead.
