"The Process of Remembering" is a film about reflecting, learning and understanding who you are in this lifetime and the importance if your identity.
I am offering to all immersive art spaces and galleries around the US, an experience to share this film, showcase unique live performances that stem from this work, and provide a photo series accompanying the film. Along with this work there will be a portion of the workshop 'Mi Vida Su Vida' (https://indigenousyouth.org/voices/mi-vida-su-vida-health-education), which will break the norm from traditional workshops, into an artistic, educational experience. We will focus on society norms & roles and dismantling belief systems, what emotions come up and how it affects our bodies and how to heal. My hopes for each city is to learn about the importance of mind, body, spirit connection and self-love.
Being able to share this work on a wider platform and to be able to physically engage with the people who see the film would mean the world to me. Often times as artists, when we create film projects specifically, we don't get as much interaction because its main platform is the internet. I believe showing this film and giving the education, background and tools, I found while creating this film, will help start the healing journey for anyone who attends this experience.
When you donate your donation will cover, travel, food and lodging expenses to all cities, production crew, equipment and materials needed to put on the experience. The tour is going to start in April 2019 and go to July 2019. The cities that we have been in contact with are Denver, Taos, St. Paul, San Antonio, San Diego and San Francisco. All to close out one more time in Los Angeles, CA on the 1 year anniversary of the film.
