The Maverick Flute Choir is thrilled to be presenting our original collaborative work "The Princess & The Dragon: A Musical Play for Flute Choir" at the 45th Annual National Flute Convention in Minneapolis, MN!

As most flutists know, attending the convention is a significant financial commitment. YOU can help as many Maverick Flute Choir members as possible attend the convention! For over half of the ensemble, this will be their first time attending.
If you donate $40 or more, you will receive a copy of the brand new musician's journal the Maverick Flute Choir designed together! The journal has inspiring quotes, beautiful photos, musician coloring pages, thought provoking journal questions, and plenty of blank pages for keeping track of (and motivating!) your practice sessions.

"The Princess & The Dragon: A Musical Play for Flute Choir"
We developed the plot line together, Terri Sánchez wrote the script, UTA flute students wrote the music, and we've had a blast learning how be flutists AND actors to entertain our audience!
The play is a fun, poignant fairy tale about the power of music and its ability to bring us all together, no matter what our differences. The story features a Princess, sad over the loss of her mother who was captured by a fierce dragon years ago. Her father, the King, banned music from his kingdom because he was so distraught. On the Princess’s 16th birthday, her Nanny gives her a flute as a birthday present and teaches her lessons in secret. Two years later, the Princess begins a quest On her journey, she meets an Indian Flutist, a Jazz Flutist, a Beatboxing Flutist, and a Chinese Flutist. She learns important lessons from each, but will they give her the confidence she needs to face the Dragon?
