The Mathy Matt Show

My name is Scott Sanders. I'm a composer, performer, educator and community arts administrator. Late in 2015 I received an amazing opportunity to write and compose a musical maths show for primary schools to tour around Australia, which has culminated in The Mathy Matt Show.
This is a one-hour musical and theatrical performance that delivers maths concepts in a fun, dynamic and interactive environment. It incorporates music, dancing and singing to reinforce the mathematical learning, and features an “artificial intelligence-in-development” character named Tekno who can perform over seven million calculations per second, but who Matt and the students need to teach and explain new concepts to - which is another great way to reinforce learning!
It is such a great opportunity to tour The Mathy Matt show in schools throughout Australia, largely visiting regional and rural areas that often don’t have access to performances and workshops. I already have over sixty bookings for the show beginning in March this year and I require some extra startup funds in order to get the show on the road – in particular for the following items:
· Compact speakers and a headset radio mic (I have the PA)
· A spare laptop to run the show from
· A projector screen so the whole audience can see Tekno
· A reliable van I can sleep in on tour to save on accommodation costs
