The Joe Wagner Fund
We ask that you please keep Joe in your thoughts and prayers as he and his family go through these tough times. We also ask that you please help us in raising money for Joe and his family to help offset the immense costs of Joe's medical bills. We welcome and appreciate any donations.
Joe is a fifth-year student at the University of Florida studying civil engineering, and he is an upstanding member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. Joe exudes kindheartedness and generosity to everyone he meets, and we all hope for his speedy and full recovery.
The medical staff of Shands discovered multiple skull fractures, external bone protrusions in both arms, at least 4 broken ribs, fractured vertebrae, a cracked pelvis, a collapsed lung, pneumonia, and chest cavity hemorrhaging. Currently, the most aggressive issue impeding Joe’s health is his brain. Joe’s incredible medical team is doing everything they can to keep the swelling in his brain down by salinating his blood and adjusting his vitals. Despite these injuries and challenges, Joe continues to fight and refuses to give up.
We're welcome to visit him, but doctors have expressed that we should try not to communicate with him to keep his brain activity down to reduce the chance of unwanted hemorrhaging in his brain. Joe’s recovery is touch and go for the next few days, and we are praying for a miracle. Although prayers go further than dollars, if you can spare both in support of his family and our fraternity brother, we would be eternally grateful.
Thank you for aiding Joe in his time of need and for your continued support,
The Delta Chi Brotherhood
