The Heartstring Hunters

Dear friends, family, and music lovers,

The world is a scary place these days and always seems to deal the toughest blows to those who deserve them the least. Knowing this hurts my heart often, but today is especially rough. My sister and her band we're robbed early this morning. They have devoted their whole lives to making music and spent every cent they've earned on getting the equipment they needed to have a full band that can tour. This month they packed up their truck and went on on their first tour to California. They called it the 'Unafraid' tour- all about being fearless in their lives and with their music.

This morning four men smashed open the window of their truck and took everything. All of their equipment, belongings, and instruments except for their guitars, which thankfully weren't in the truck. They took about 10, 000 dollars worth of equipment, basically their life savings. They took all of my sister's clothes, and her husband's laptop. They found one of their drums smashed on the side of the road. It's even on surveillance video- the men taking loads of their things from the truck and just walking away, like it's nothing. They trashed the truck, probably looking for things that were 'valuable' to them.

I know the band is reluctant to ask for help but if there's one thing I learned from 10+ years in the restaurant business it is this:

WE HAVE EACH OTHER'S BACKS.

Every time one of us was stiffed or stolen from we all gave a little, and it went such an incredibly long way. Life can be cruel and it's pretty much up to us to restore each other's faith in humanity, every time.

Anyway, the band needs help to get back on their feet. Any contributions, even if it's just prayers or good vibes, would be appreciated so much. We have tried filing an insurance claim, nothing is covered when stolen from a vehicle. If it's musical equipment that you want to donate just message them directly at [email redacted] Thank you all for taking the time to read this, even that means alot.
