The Heart of our Family

My wife is the world to our family. Casi had our son Felix on December 12, 2016, and it was one of the happiest days of our lives. Casi is so proud and excited to be a mother again, she is always talking about him or Eli. Being a mother is her life. Casi started having a headache and pressure, which she attributed to a sinus infection about a week after the birth of Felix. She didn't think much of it, and continued being the best mother in the world. On Thursday, she began feeling really bad, and her left leg started having an uncontrollable tremor. At that time we started toward the ER, and while on the way to the ER she had a seizure. I called the ambulance and they came and transported her to Houston Methodist West. She was diagnosed with a blood clot on the right side of her brain, which has affected her left side extremities. The diagnosis is called Dural venous sinus thrombosis, and it will be a great battle ahead. Once the blood clot is removed either by medication or a surgical procedure, Casi will likely be in the hospital for an extended period of time. Also, she will probably need physical and occupational therapy to help with regaining her power back once the clot has been dissolved. We have had many prayers and thoughts from around the world. I humbly ask for any donation that you can provide for our family. It will mean more than you will ever know. This money will be used to help with family expenses as she will not be working, and for helping me have the opportunity to be by her side as much as she needs as she fights this battle. She is the strongest lady I have ever known, and she means the world to our family. Thank you.
