Hello Everyone,

My name is April Nevils, and I am asking for help on behalf of the Alvern Martin/Green Family.  Alvern Martin is a very sweet, quiet, shy, educated, loving, soft spoken young man who was diagnosed with stage 4 Sarcoma Cancer on April 23, 2016.  Sarcoma Cancer is a cancer that attacks the bones and soft tissue of your body.  This diagnosis came as a total shocked to everyone that knows Alvern and loves Alvern.  With the original diagnosis, Alvern was given a two year life expectancy.   Well Alvern worked for as long as he could, and has now had to stop working.  The Chemotherapy and radiation treatments had taken a toll on him.  A few days ago, Alevern was told that his cancer had spreaded and there is nothing more the doctor's could do for him.  They have now turned his medical care over to hospice.  Alvern's mother a retired police officer for the KCKS police department, is doing the best she can with the fact that her one and only child is battling this terminal illness.  She is reaching out and asking for financial support for the remaining medical expense and future final expenses for her son.  This is a very hard pill for Alvern and his family to swallow.  We are asking for any type of donation.  Anyone that is willing to help, we are glad to accept it.   We love Alvern, he is truly a gentle giant.  He is not one for a lot of attention, and would rather battle this in private, however, his family is wanting to help him as much as they can, and would like as many as his family and friends to help if they can.   I know that everyone that Alvern's has come in contact with has grown to love our gentle giant.  Please donate, please help support this family.
