We are The Great Sadness from Los Angeles, California.
Over the last fours years we have played shows in both the US and Europe.
Yes, we tour. And we record.
We pay for it all on our own. We have no label.
We have no manager or booking agent.
Everything is DIY.
We bring you the rock with our hard work and commitment to what we do. That’s a fact.
And the bottom line: We love music. It is our life’s blood.
In 2016, we recorded our first full length record, entitled WEEP, with Joe Cardamone (Icarus Line) at Valley Recording Company in beautiful Burbank, California. It was mastered by Howie Weinberg. And we are honored to have been able to work with both Joe and Howie. They are, in a word, genius. The record is heavy and in your face. Not light listening. But then, these are heavy times and heavy is what we do.
And now for the part where we ask for your help.
We sunk the last of our cash into the recording of the record and now we need to finish it.
And we are looking to you, the people that know us and love what we do, to help us meet that goal. With your assistance we can:
Get the vinyl pressed
Get the gatefold record cover done
Finish 2 to 3 videos to support the record
Print custom t-shirts and tote bags
That’s what we need to get us to the finish line.
And we’re hoping to get it all done by mid February 2017.
Please help us deliver what we believe to be our best work.
We are forever grateful to everyone that comes out to see us live. We are even more grateful when we inspire people to buy what we make. Seriously. It makes us happy that we can connect.
