We're the folks from the Glove.
DIY-life has hit a snag.
Last month our bills and interactions with New York's monopoly utility bureaucracy reached an impasse which resulted in a temporary suspension in electrical power and break in our programing. We've made plans to solve all of these problems, and the Glove will re-open, with nary a difference in how we do things; very soon we will be able to bring you high quality Glove programing for many times to come. However, during this multi-week suspension, we've been unable to fully support the large network of people that make the Glove possible, from bands, to all of our pals who help run the space. Additionally, we continue to see our regular bills come in alongside our new expenses and they've seriously started to stack up....
In short, The Glove needs some love!
So we are humbly asking the community to send some extra support. We are asking 10k to help us re-open, resolve the financial hiccups we incurred over the break, pay down the debt we were previously managing, and share the support with our network of Glove friends who have been affected by the programming suspension. With your help we can continue to serve our community of artists, performers, musicians, freaks, punks, kids, adults, folks, travelers, locals, and aliens free of debt and with a new lease on nightlife.
