The Cordova Family

Donation protected
On Sunday, April 30, 2017, Ron Cordova passed away suddenly and unexpectedly while at his home. Ron left behind his loving wife Tracy and two wonderful sons Ronnie (19) and Zachary (14). His tragic passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. Many have been touched by his life, by his selfless, giving, and caring nature and have requested a way to honor him and help his family. We have reached out to Tracy to find out the most effective way to help her and her family in this time of need and she has expressed that her main concern is the well being of her boys and to ensure that her son Zachary has the ability to attend college. She has requested that rather than gifts or flowers she would prefer a donation to her sons' futures. Therefore, we have established this Go Fund Me account to honor Ron's memory by ensuring his childrens' futures. We understand that tuition tends to only rise but the goal was established by checking the current tuitions in Washington State's main universities.

For those who knew him, Ron needed no introduction, but I wanted to ensure that those not familiar with him could hear a little bit of his story. First and foremost, Ron was a family man and did everything he could for them. He loved to coach and teach his sons Zachary and Ronnie how to pitch and play baseball. Ron tried not to miss any games because he absolutely loved to see his sons play ball. He coached Ronnie and Zachary through Little League. Ronnie is currently attending college. Zachary is now a freshman and ballplayer at Glacier Peak High School and also plays Select baseball. Ron Cordova is well known in his baseball community and will be greatly missed!

Ron Cordova served a total of 21 years in law enforcement to include Wheatland PD (California), Yolo County Sheriff's Department (California), Woodland PD (California), and most recently, he had honarably served in the Seattle Police Department for nearly five years. In Seattle, he spent time in patrol and for the past three years had been a Detective in the Force Investigation Team (FIT). Ron received multiple commendations and awards for both his work in FIT and his time in patrol. He was well respected as a hard-working, dedicated, and knowledgeable detective in the unit and Department and will be sorely missed.

Ron is much more than these few words can explain and he meant so much to so many. I ask that you please honor his memory, his dedication to serving others with pride, and his love of his family by giving and ensuring his family is supported in their greatest time of need. Thank you so much!
