As some of you may heard, I’m taking on my first endeavor as a theater producer with the guidance and assistance of Outskirts Theater Company. I am producing a production of The Children’s Hour, which is a play written in the 1930s that delves into the potential frailty of a woman’s success as well as providing a voice for women of all backgrounds. The Children’s Hour will open OTC’s 2018/19 season, a season that is celebrating women.
I’ve come to learn that producing a show involves a lot of work in finding the right team, the right resources, and the creation of job opportunities for those perfect team members. Theater has always been a humble profession and it’s from the kindness and consideration of generous theater sponsors that can make the best of shows possible.
