The Birdman of East Village - Victor Vasquez

The unconditional love we receive from our pets is sometimes the only thing that gets us through the hard times. Victor Vasquez has been through a hard time this past week. Not only was he brutally attacked, but because of this incident he has suffered additional  wounds that can never be healed. He lost a much loved companion parrot who escaped from his care and did not make it back home. I want to help him know that in the face of this senseless act, we as humans can come together over a loss we have all felt, the loss of an innocent life. I have been in contact with the author of the article who put me in touch with Victor's sister, Diana. She will be his designated advocate and assured me that all funds will be used to help Victor get safe carriers for his birds and get back on his feet.
