The 13 Rooms Fund

Donation protected
13 Rooms Fund is raising money for San Jose San Joaquin Elementary School in Agoo, La Union on the island of Luzon in the Philippines.

The flooding that affected 13 classrooms occurred on August 13.  In early September, another flooding occurred that affected the entire school. More recently, on September 15, Super Typhoon Mangkhut slammed into the island of Luzon and this time many towns and cities in Luzon were inundated with rain, bringing rampant flooding to the region and to San Jose San Joaquin Elementary School once again.

Each time the school flooded, the students and teachers cleaned the rooms and tried to salvage equipment, furniture, textbooks, and various school supplies. For example, they would dry books on the roof of the school so that they can hopefully use them again. Often times they are not able to save these items.  After the latest flooding from Super Typhoon Mangkhut, the school will have to start over again.

Please help us raise $5,000 to donate to this school to help them replace textbooks, classroom furniture, equipment, and other supplies to help them rebuild and get the children back to learning.

As Malcolm X once mused, "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today."
