I write this story with wishes of spreading words of love, hope, compassion, and faith. As many of you know, Lang Fender is my oldest sister. She and her husband of 23 years, Thad, are parents to 3 great kids; Jasmine (21), Jade (12), and Jesse (10).
What some of you may not know is that Thad was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer in September of 2017. He immediately began treatment with chemo and has had multiple surgeries. Today, it's been discovered that the cancer has spread from his colon to his liver and intestines. Today, he told his family that he will quit his job to have more time with them. Today, the realization that even a lifetime with the ones you love most isn't long enough, and that knowing you only have a few months left, is even worse.
I write this story to you all, our family and our friends, asking for your support for Thad and his family. While there is no amount of monetary funds that can fix his diagnosis, the money raised here will go towards his medical bills, their mortgage, dinner, any and all things needed to help them manage their living and allow Thad to spend time with the ones he loves most, without worry. Precious, priceless time. It will help Lang and the kids in the future as well.
Thad has spent his life working hard, providing for his family, and getting them to where they are today. He has unwavering faith in God. Whether your support is through prayer, meals, money, or even mowing their lawn, no words can express our appreciation of anything you can send their way. With their undying faith and wish to make the most of their time together, they, I, thank you from all of our hearts for your compassion and contribution.
