The Gardner School is Adopting a Texas Classroom—and You Can Help!
Our hearts are broken for families and schools impacted by Hurricane Harvey. We know that schools at all levels help provide stability, safety, meals, and important routines for children. Many families have lost everything. Many schools are damaged, and classrooms have lost all teaching materials. The Gardner School , based in Brentwood, TN, wants to help Texas classrooms recover as quickly as possible, so we are adopting a classroom!
We are asking our TGS family to contribute dollars toward helping fulfill the classroom’s needs, once identified. The Gardner School will match donations to this Go Fund Me campaign up to $2,500!
As soon as we are matched with a school-age classroom, the teacher will provide a list of items needed for the classroom and students.
We are working directly with Texas Teachers based in Houston, TX to identify our adopted classroom.
Thanks, in advance, for always being willing to come together and help those in need. We are grateful for the charitable spirit we see in our TGS families. Here’s to making our world better together!
A few notes:
This campaign is managed by The Gardner School based in Brentwood, TN (www.thegardnerschool.com)
We are working directly with the staff at Texas Teachers (5599 San Felipe Street, Suite 600, Houston, TX 77056) to be matched with a classroom in need after the impact of Hurricane Harvey. They will verify the teacher's employment with the school and school district. The Gardner School will use these funds once withdrawn to purchase items or gift cards specifically identified by our adopted classroom's teacher and school. If we should have more funding than we need for a classroom, we will continue to work with other classrooms in the Texas area until the funds donated are completely used.
