Private Texas Panhandle Fire Relief
1. Who you are and where you’re from- Ramey Keeth - Springtown, Tx
2. Your relationship or contact to the parties you're raising funds for - originally from the panhandle, fellow rancher.
3. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)- the funds will be spent fuel to haul hay, any supplies needed (i.e tie downs, hay, feed, vet supplies, fencing)
4. Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary/ies - I will personally withdrawal for the benefit of ranchers in the panhandle. And will disburse appropriately.
We are managing a huge effort to provide additional support to the folks in the panhandle in need of relief from the recent wild fires. The generosity and compassion from our fellow Texans and across the USA has been truly humbling. We still need Hay and feed, and fuel money to get some of the trucks on the road that cannot cover their own expenses but are willing to donate their time and rigs to the cause. Any donations for this cause would be greatly appreciated. All your help is working and we have a long way to go.
We have now also begun our "Heifer Drive" to take donations of replacement heifers for those who lost cattle in the fires. We have made an option in this effort for those who may not have cattle to donate or are too far away to make it realistic to get their cattle to our holding pasture. That option is to donate the funds her in this account and leave a message with your donation stating that your donation is for the "Heifer Drive". We will use 100% of those funds to purchase quality heifers for the Heifer Drive and add them to the donated heifers.
Thank you all again so much for the help for these folks and please get the word out and lets make this effort a huge success. This may be the one thing that helps these ranchers survive this disaster.
Mike Hilber, I saw my name on this and then saw that you listed it is for fuel for getting hay delivered. The $43,000 that you've raised so far will almost pay for the trucking of it to the burn zones get in touch with me or you can get in touch with Potter trucking out of Moody, Texas to get these funds you've collected to the folks that sure need it! Thanks!
Ramey Keeth has posted an update on needs, click on the Update link just below the picture for latest posted info.
Have some hay left, large round bales, in Wolfe City near Greenville can haul as well. How can we help?
My husband called yesterday to donate some round rolls of hay. We don't have any way to haul it but can load it. We live in Shreport, LA if anyone can haul it.
Cindy Schlichte, please contact Ramey directly. +1 (806) 548-0066
Everyone needs to feel good about helping out. Any amount is greatly appreciated. You are awesome! So keep on sharing and reposting. Be proud of yourself for stepping to the plate because I am proud of you!
Oops, hit post before I meant to do so. Also want to say a big THANK YOU to Ramey J. Keeth and anyone working alongside him for this help during this horrible time. I know some of the family members of those who perished in this fire. This type of American neighbor helping neighbor effort will be a comfort to them as well as those who have just lost animals and grazing.
Caroline McCoy - call James Greer, Director of Missions, Top O' Texas Baptist Association (a religious non-profit organization). 806-664-0067. The Top O' Texas Association is receiving and coordinating gifts of money, hay, fencing supplies. etc. There are also other organizations, but this one is a 501 (c). (I'm the retired Director of this organization).
Thank you for all you are doing and for sharing this story. Many many prayers for all those in the panhandles and those helping them. Much love coming from Salado, Texas.
If you have ever been on the short end of the stick, you will understand how much this means. Fencing is expensive so let's keep going.
New Mexico--bring it on! We CAN do this! Even a little helps out. Critical fire weather is forecast for today. So we need to hurry it up.
Pushing your campaign brother. God bless good luck.
