Private Texas Panhandle Fire Relief

$52,175 of $50k goal

Raised by 470 people in 1 month
Ramey J. Keeth  SPRINGTOWN, TX
*PLEASE NOTE, this is a private fundraiser by local ranchers and the public to help provide additional relief to those in need in the panhandle.

1. Who you are and where you’re from- Ramey Keeth - Springtown, Tx
2. Your relationship or contact to the parties you're raising funds for - originally from the panhandle, fellow rancher.
3. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)- the funds will be spent fuel to haul hay, any supplies needed (i.e tie downs, hay, feed, vet supplies, fencing)
4. Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary/ies - I will personally withdrawal for the benefit of ranchers in the panhandle. And will disburse appropriately.

We are managing a huge effort to provide additional support to the folks in the panhandle in need of relief from the recent wild fires. The generosity and compassion from our fellow Texans and across the USA has been truly humbling. We still need Hay and feed, and fuel money to get some of the trucks on the road that cannot cover their own expenses but are willing to donate their time and rigs to the cause. Any donations for this cause would be greatly appreciated. All your help is working and we have a long way to go.

Such a blessing to be involved in this effort. Donations for across this great nation have brought us so close to our goal in just a very short time.
We have now also begun our "Heifer Drive" to take donations of replacement heifers for those who lost cattle in the fires. We have made an option in this effort for those who may not have cattle to donate or are too far away to make it realistic to get their cattle to our holding pasture. That option is to donate the funds her in this account and leave a message with your donation stating that your donation is for the "Heifer Drive". We will use 100% of those funds to purchase quality heifers for the Heifer Drive and add them to the donated heifers.
Thank you all again so much for the help for these folks and please get the word out and lets make this effort a huge success. This may be the one thing that helps these ranchers survive this disaster.

Such an amazing outpouring of support from amazing people. We have fulfilled most of the immediate need for hay and feed in the Texas Panhandle and the focus has shifted to fencing materials and labor. The vast amount of livestock fencing destroyed by the fires is simply devistating. They cannot even begin to rebuild the cattle which is their livelihood until those fences are replaced. Let's continue to raise funds for these hard working folks to be able to help with that rebuilding process. The fencing supplies can be donated but the labor and other costs take money. That's where this account comes in. Who better than to know where the funds are needed most than the devastated ranchers themselves. And that's where this money goes. Keep giving. They would do the same for us.

Can you point me to a 501 (c)3 in the Panhandle area? If so, I can arrange for $5k-$10k worth of CO hay to be delivered. Plus I would need a specific address as to where to deliver the hay. Thank you.

Mike Hilber, I saw my name on this and then saw that you listed it is for fuel for getting hay delivered. The $43,000 that you've raised so far will almost pay for the trucking of it to the burn zones get in touch with me or you can get in touch with Potter trucking out of Moody, Texas to get these funds you've collected to the folks that sure need it! Thanks!

Oops, hit post before I meant to do so. Also want to say a big THANK YOU to Ramey J. Keeth and anyone working alongside him for this help during this horrible time. I know some of the family members of those who perished in this fire. This type of American neighbor helping neighbor effort will be a comfort to them as well as those who have just lost animals and grazing.
