Tesch Family Home Fire

$10,359 of $10,000 goal

Raised by 91 people in 4 months
A family member of Greenhorn Creek has suffered from a horrible fire.  Andrea (Andy) Tesch, our Executive Sous Chef of Camps Restaurant, received a call while working Wednesday night's Music in the Park. Her Valley Springs home in California which has been in the family for 4 generations had burned to the ground.  Her father, James 65 who is suffering from cancer, was the only one home when the electrical fire started.  Andy's brother arrived home just in time to see smoke and rescue their father from the home.  The home completely burned down and they have lost everything.

We are asking our community, staff, and friends to come together and show how much we care and support the family during this time and provide any assistance.  Andy, her 65-year-old mother, her 69-year-old father, and her 3 girls (13, 8, 4) have been left with only the clothes they had on.  Here's how you can help.

- Cash Donations can also be received through the Golf Shop.
- Donations for clothes can be brought to Camps Restaurant.  Here is a list of sizes:
Mother - Medium
Father - Large Shirts, size 34 pants
Andy - Small tops, medium pants
Girls: Size 4T& Size 4 toddler shoes, Size 8-9 kids & size 11 shoes, Size 14 and 7.5 shoes

Other suggestions: Toys, school supplies, kitchen goods, toiletries, etc. can also be brought to Camps Restaurant.  Camps Restaurant is located at 711 McCauley Ranch Road, Angels Camp, CA 95222

We thank you for your support.

Thank you from Andrea Tesch:
First, let me start by saying thank you.

Since the news of the fire, the outpouring of love and support to my family and myself has been beyond words. We received so many donations, kind words, amazing cards, and uplifting support from so many that we are in awe. It truly speaks to the kindness of the human spirit and renews all faith in humanity. Our amazing family at Camps Restaurant and Greenhorn Creek have been there for us throughout everything. I could never have asked for a better environment to work in, and amazing people to work with. I look forward to many long years here.

We will honestly never be able to thank you all enough.

About my family and home:

My 6 siblings and I were raised in the home, with some of us actually being home births. The house and property have been in my family for 5 generations and was going to continue to be, until the fire. It started as an electrical spark that sent through the rafters and after that, the entire roof came down on it. The only one home was my Father who has terminal cancer and couldn’t smell the Fire nor did he see it. My oldest brother had stopped by the check on him and that’s when he could see the smoke and evacuated my father.

Our plans for the future is to hopefully someday rebuild. With my father’s health, he won’t be able to do much of any work anymore so it will be my siblings and I that rebuild for our future generations.

We are still looking for a home to live in so my Father can be comfortable while going through Chemo Therapy. But we are all safe and feel overwhelmingly loved by you all.

So again from the bottom of our hearts thank you so very much.
