On Wednesday 12/13/2017 our mothers life changed traumatically. As she was walking into Pratt Abbott to pick up her dry cleaning on Forest Ave, she was hit by an SUV in the parking lot which pinned her between her car and the SUV. Due to the force of this, her legs were severed on site and she was forced to undergo bilateral amputations of both of her legs.
Her recovery will be an extremely long and expensive road. She is going to need so many things but a few are; house remodel to become wheelchair accessible, vehicle modifications, and eventually being fitted for prosthetics so she can continue living her life the way she did before the accident.
Our Mom is the strongest person in the world. She didn’t deserve this traumatic, life altering incident but she is ready to conquer it one step at a time with her huge family and large group of friends by her side. She has remained positive since the incident and we have no doubt will conquer and surpass every road block she is faced with. Let’s help Terri on her new journey!!
