To Date so far the fire is not under control and this very small community of ours Has lost 27 homes.  Some.of these folks do not have fire insurance due to the remote location.  Our Tahltan Nation is in desperate need of help.

Telegraph Creek Wildfire
There is currently a fire near the remote town of Telegraph Creek and an evacuation order has been placed August 5th and has approximately 500-700 evacuees. They are evacuated to the towns of Dease Lake and Iskut as of now. There are about 55+ firefighters, both air and ground crews, tons of volunteers and locals who have opened their homes to everyone. These communities are pretty remote, nearest towns are a 7 hour drive to either whitehorse or terrace and Smithers. So far 4 homes have been lost and an entire community at risk of losing their homes, town and farms.
