Hello everyone my name is Teddy . I am a recuse that came to my forever home 5 years ago.

Let me start with 5 years ago .I was just a little guy that didn't trust anyone because of my old owners. My forever family changed that for me . They welcomed me to their family with open hearts. They have rules on the farm some I don't like and some I can follow easy. My stall mate is one of my best friends her name Penny she is my hero she  saved my life with those annoying geese  Christmas and Ms. White that share our field. My life was complete and pretty great most people would say. Anyone that came to the Farm would give my kisses and say how handsome I was. That would all change on Friday December 16, 2016 MY WORLD WOULD CHANGE FOREVER. I WAS ATTACKED BY A PIT BULL AND MY STALL MATE PENNY THE WONDER HORSE AND THOSE GEESE SAVE ME . PENNY ALSO GOT HURT . I HAD TO GO THE HOSPITAL IN OCALA FL.

All the Doctors and Nurses and staff are taken good care of me but I have a lot of medical bills . I will need a lot of treatment for a while. Please know the pictures are not my best . I am on the med and getting better everyday. Mom can't wait to get me back home to hug and kiss me.
I miss all of my friends on the farm mostly the goats that are next me and my stall mates you remember the super heros . Mom says I will be beautiful to her.

DON'T EVER MOVE TO LAKE HELEN. Little Teddy lost is life for nothing the LAKE HELEN sent me a copy of the report that states that they sent it to the state however the state has never got anything from Lake Helen. I called the state and spoke to them only to be told that nothing was done and won't be done until chief Walker does his job and sends the complete report over to them. However the officer that investigated the case Officer Melton is now the chief of Police in the small town of Welaka. I have attached for everyone to see the report that officer Melton done.

I wanted to give everyone an update on Penny she is not wearing her cape today in the picture but is healing nicely. Penny is starting to realize that her buddy isn't coming back and she is getting lonely. As soon as she heals completely or the Vet says it is ok to get a buddy for her we will try to fine a horse that she will like. The last time we heard from the police we were told that they have a person of interest and will be speaking to them that was before the end of the year.
I wanted to give everyone an update on P

I was touched deeply reading this story. Then it really saddened me when I found out the very next day that Teddy had passed away the previous day. It's very important people keep track of their dogs. I think in most places it's illegal to simply let your dogs wander around unattended and off leash. Owners who let their dogs attack and maim/kill other animals need to be punished. And punished severely in cases where the animal was already designated as dangerous. I hope something good comes from this tragedy. But I am sure this will not be the last time we read about such events.

Sue these damn pit owners! Stop letting them get away with it. And be ready, pits usually come back to 'finish the job' once the first attack. https://dogbitelaw.com/store/dog-bite-lawsuit-forms

I just wanted to send Angel Teddy love and light, as he now shines in the Heavens Rainbow. Comfort, if there can be any through mere words for you and for Teddy's companion as they too were physically injured but the trauma and emotional scars can be worse. This too happened to my sisters animals on their farm, completely enclosed, Dogs running in a 2-3 dog pack, stray or allowed to roam, broke in through very secure pasture fencing and chased her goats killing 1, injuring another, and chasing her mini horse until shots were fired scaring the dogs off... The remaining animals so traumatized they were kept in double fence by house, double fencing put up, calls made to authorities to no avail, and someone having to monitor every sound , never letting the goats, horses, dogs or cats out alone. I love dogs. I love animals. It us irresponsible, hateful, uncaring humans I detest. Those who abuse animals, those who allow this, and abandoned animals . Sadly the dogs must be removed, if owned , the people should go to jail. The dogs would not be able to be trusted around other animals like these. Just horrible and tragic .... Please if you have any other animals , keep them inside the house, cats included. Dogs that attack will kill any animal, and no animals should ever have to be subjected to be mauled. Electric fencing....Double barrier fencing outer down in ground. No animals seem safe in their own yard including from human predators. But hoping someone can find these dogs and identity the correct ones responsible. Sometimes even dogs who would not do this singly , get that pack motivation, can be deadly. So Sorry!!!!!

I am just reading this today, the 27th of December. I hope the authorities have been brought in to find the animals responsible for this horrendous mulling. Poor Teddy did not deserve this and I am glad that God decided to take his dear friend home where he can be whole again and without pain. My heart goes out to the owner family and I hope they get some consolotion with the arrest of the people who allowed their dogs to run loose. Just terrible. I also worry about Teddy's friend as she will not do well if they don't get her some help. Horses, donkeys, mules are social animal among the ones they live with and when one disappears and does not return, they get depressed and cannot figure out what they did wrong, so this or these animals need to be given special attention and talked to so they know it is not their fault.

The same thing happened here in Palm Coast. A pitt bull got loose and killed a pony. So sad. Something more needs to be done to owners that do not keep their dogs under control.

Does Teddy have a favorite companion @ the farm?? Christmas tends to be lonely for those of us who don't have family, so perhaps it is for Teddy too, if he's hurting then even a pony can get 'down in the dumps', & maybe a favorite companion might just pick his spirits up?? I hope he pulls through!! The Cookie Monster said that!!

Was it just one dog, or a pack (2 or more) of dogs, & are they someone's dog(s) or 'feral'/wild dogs ?? I'm also not quite sure why any dog would go for the muzzle, as most dogs go for the animal's 'hamstrings', to prevent it from running until they can kill it!! I question why any pit bull would go after a small horse, as to the best of my knowledge, they were originally bred for Boar Hunting!! In any case, if this was one dog acting alone, or the 'Alpha' dog in a pack, then it should be put down, one way or the other, as it will probably continue such attacks in the future!! Where are the owners of said animal(s) in all this, are they are being held accountable for their animal(s) actions, etc. ?? Hope Teddy heals quickly & gets back home ASAP!!
