Tech Dragons Competiton Funding

Thousands of people cheering in the crowd, flags from countries all over the world surrounding us, two teams at the competition table waiting anxiously for the countdown: “3…2…1… LEGO!” And the crowd goes wild! The Tech Dragons have won! Puerto Rico! Puerto Rico! …. 


Well we haven’t won yet… But we sure will try our best to do it! However, in order to make our dream come true we need your help and support so that we , The Tech Dragons, can  represent our island at the FIRST® LEGO® League World Festival in Houston, TX from April 18-22!


Our team of 5 aspiring engineers worked non-stop for months developing strong core values, working on our robot Bahamut, and researching the endangered Puerto Rican Boa (learn about it on our Facebook page ).

(Here we are searching for Boas in their natural habitat so we can learn more about them! Thanks Enelis Mulero for all your help, you were an amazing guide!) 


However, it wasnt always easy for us. Due to many unexpected events, our original coach had to leave our team.  This left us coachless for a large part of the season, counting on the different mentors in our lives to help us out whenever they got a chance. However, we were not going to give up!

Our oldest team member stepped up to the plate and helped keep us organized and motivated untill we were able to find our new coach.  We learned to prioritize tasks and to delegate work. This experience bonded us closer together and created an even higher level of respect among us.

(Thankfully we found an amazing coach, Jay,  to help lead us and we are so excited to have him as part of our Tech Dragon team!)



Our hard work and perseverance paid off when we became CHAMPIONS in the Puerto Rico Animal Allies Championship! This victory qualified us to represent our island in the international World Festival Competition, and we can’t wait to shine there just like we did in Puerto Rico.

However, to get there we need your help! Houston is far from Puerto Rico and there will be many costs involved in getting us there. Some of the costs our team has include tournament fees, shipping our robot and competition materials, airfare, and lodging. 
(Just look how far that is...Too bad we cant program Bahamut to fly us there!) 

Any donations you can make to helping us achieve our goal will be highly appreciated, even if it is just a dollar! We are also planning other fundraisers like game-a-thons and bake sales, so your support of us in any way possible is equally valuable to us!
