Our mom is the kindest, funniest, toughest mom we know. She's our everything. And she's been successfully battling cancer for over ten years.
Chemo, radiation, surgery. She's fought through it all. But this time it's different. We need your help.
Our Mom has been at University of Miami Hospital since January 12th, 2017. She's been in and out of ICU and had over 40 procedures over the past 3 weeks. She'd been fighting an advanced stage of Uterine Cancer called UPSC. It's rare and aggressive and has spread to her stomach and lungs.
Last Monday, the doctors told us we had no treatment options left. We were giving up. In the worst moment of my family's life, we said our goodbyes. Our mom opted to go to hospice and we all tried not to think of the future.
Two days later in hospice, miraculously Mom is more herself than she's been in weeks. She wants to fight again. She wants to go home. We have hope again.
The doctors are giving us two weeks for mom to build up her strength to try a new treatment. Immunotherapy. Over the past couple months, we've been denied by insurance, Merck, and hospital coverage for this treatment. And we're running out of time.
We have two weeks to raise at least $15,000 for her first immunotherapy treatment. Anything helps. Please share this page and join #TeamTami's fight.
