Send Slama to Chicago

Slamalamadingdong is sending a team of poets once again to the United States to compete in the National Poetry Slam.
This year it's in August in Chicago, and we need to raise money for NPS team registration, flights, accommodation and spending money, travel insurance, etc. for a team of four poets and at least one coach, if not more.
This is not only a great opportunity for the poets competing on the team but for the spoken word community as a whole, to send a crew of Australian poets to the US, to further raise the profile of our art form internationally and to bring back those experiences to the rest of us.
Last year, we sent our first team, to Denver, Colorado. We learnt a lot from that experience and want to pass it on to others.
The team will be decided on May 31, at our Grand Slam, but we're starting the fundraising early, one so we can focus on preparing the team in other ways earlier than last year, but also to raise money for extra costs we didn't predict last year, and if you raise more, it means we can send extra members of the Slama coaching team along too to support the team.
