Pamela Johnston Cancer Fund

Pamela Johnston is a 49 year old woman with two children who has been diagnosed with terminal, stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that spread to her bones.  It is both the scariest and saddest time in her life.  Her recent  scan showed cancer progression to the T10 vertebrae which unfortunately, comes with a bleak prognosis.  But our pamela is the definition of role model fighter with fortitude!

Aside from the emotional, mental and physical costs cancer causes, the financial burden is immense.   Pam was forced to evacuate her NYC home because her employer terminated her.  Since then, she has been without a home, staying where she is welcomed with friends and family while she is fighting for her life.

She’s  too afraid to live alone or commit to a geographical area because the real hope is for survival (beyond the median 10 month survival for spine metasteses)  - and to get Pam into the right clinical trial or for new immunotherapy which might even be outside the U.S.

You may see her smile and great attitude on Facebook!  She even makes being in a wheelchair at the airport look sexy, when in reality- she uses every bit of fortitude to not complain about the horrors going on behind the sparkly mask.  We want Pam to focus on health and joy.   If there will be a first to beat terminal breast cancer, I‎t will be Pam.

Let’s help her fight by giving her the opportunity to actually keep fighting with dignity, grace and serenity. It’s safe to say, Pammy is worth it.

Cancer is a complex son-of-a-bitch and being educated is important. Links below describe Pam’s condition and prognosis according to heathcare professionals.
