#TeamDonovan

We are #TeamDonovan, a group of family and friends that have come together to pray, give support and raise money for an amazing little boy named Donovan Stringer.

Donovan is the youngest child of Kevin and Lisa Stringer. He has three older siblings, Darien, Kameron and Kierea and sister-in-law Alexis. He is a second grader at McGuffey Elementary School. He loves school, his teachers and classmates. Donovan is a fun loving child who is a big fan of super heroes and enjoys playing with action figures. He is also active in baseball, basketball and soccer. During one of Donovan's last soccer games he was hit in the stomach with a soccer ball which led to the hospital visit where a mass was discovered.

On September 21, 2016, Donovan was diagnosed with Undifferentiated Embryonal Sarcoma of the Liver (UESL) which was growing and causing a tremendous amount of pain along with other problems for him. This was devastating news. But with his parents, Kevin and Lisa, by his side, this young man has been the example of strength and hope. Despite the pain that he endures, Donovan has been kind and courteous to the ones that he meets and is still very loving to the ones that he knows. He still remains himself. Donovan has decided to name his tumor "Dark Seid", after a big, evil villain from DC Comics. He enters our universe through a magic portal called the "boom tube". "Wonder Woman", one of the strongest super hero's is the chemo that goes through the boom tube (med port) to attack Dark Seid so the doctors can go in and remove him. 

We know that this is going to be a battle that will get much worse before it gets better. We want to ensure that Kevin and Lisa have every available resource to help them fight this with Donovan. We are a village, we are a community, We are #TeamDonovan.
