Team Wagonna Get There will be participating in this year's Mongol Rally. In the name of charity we will be driving from London to Ulan-Ude starting July 27, 2017. To make this even more challenging, we will be driving a ridiculously small vehicle on rough terrain for over 40 days.
We are a team of four students currently living and studying in London. We have different but complementing interests and skills, which will help us make it to the finish line.
The two charities that we have committed to are Cool Earth and Cure Alzheimer's Fund as they support initiatives close to our hearts. We've done our due-diligence and we are proud to be steaming to Ulan-Ude with their full support. 100% of your donations will go to these two charities! The fundraising campaign will end in mid-September 2017, which is also when the money will be transferred to the two charities.
Cool Earth
This is a UK-based international NGO that works alongside indigenous communities to halt rainforest destruction. You can find out more about them here: https://www.coolearth.org/
Cure Alzheimer's Fund
This is a non-profit organization based in Wellesley, Massachusetts that supports and funds breakthrough research focused on preventing, slowing, and curing Alzheimer's disease. You can find out more about them here: http://www.curealz.org/
