The SM Argent Worlds Team are an elite group of female athletes aged between 14 and 24 years of age, who have been selected by the Australian Cheerleading Union - Governing Body of Cheerleading & Dance (VIC) to represent Australia as Team Australia at the 2018 ICU World Championships, Orlando Florida USA in April 2018.

These ladies have extreme passion and commitment to the sport of cheerleading dance and are exceptionally talented.
SM Argent Worlds Team have achieved success during the 2017 competition season in the Open All Girl Pom Division. SM Argent achievements are outlined below:

The sport of dance is a team sport like no other!
Cheer Freestyle Pom Dance is the fastest growing sport for kids in Australia. It is a performance based sport that combines elements of technical dance elements, strong visual movements and acrobatics. A cheer Freestyle Pom routine incorporates kicks, jumps, tumbling, leaps and turns that are performed together in a highly spectacular and energetic routine. It is the ultimate team sport, as it relies on every member of the team to be successful, with each athlete required to develop skill, confidence, coordination, trust and team work. Cheer Freestyle Pom encourages team spirit and team camaraderie like no other sport, and promotes fun, fitness and friendships at a recreational level all the way through to an elite competitive level. Cheer Freestyle Pom performances are thrilling displays of high energy and are both fun and exhilarating for both participants and spectators alike.
THE GOAL:
The major goal is to send our team of up to 17 Perth athletes and their two coaches to both the Nexstar National Talent Championships and the 2018 ICU Cheerleading WORLDS Championships in April 2018.
Achievement of this goal depends on raising sufficient funds to help assist the team with airfares, accommodation, registration/entrance fees, insurances and touring apparel/Team Australia Uniform.
ESTIMATED COST = $90,000 (approx. $4500 per athlete)
