I have been contributing at Daily Kos since late 2003, posting my first diary in January 2004. I have always done this on my own, with no compensation. Because it is time consuming, I have reached the point that to continue I am asking if people will be willing to offer me some financial support. I have a lot of readers. I write a lot, putting up links on Facebook and Twitter to what I write.

I am hoping that those of you who value what I do would be willing to kick in a small amount per month. I am not setting this up for ongoing automatic contributions. I will put up a link to this GoFundMe account in a comment on posts that I make. I leave it to you how much to contribute, but if $5 a month or perhaps $10 is reasonable, it would greatly help compensate me for the time and effort I put in to research, reading, writing, and responding.
The state goal is nominal. Don't worry about that.
And because this is compensation, I will be paying taxes on whatever is placed in this GoFundMe account.
