Jennifer's Medical Fund

Hi my name is Jennifer Barroso and I am 17 years old.  I've been living with chronic illnesses for just under 4 years now.  I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which is a connective tissue disorder, a debated Fibromyalgia diagnosis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I also have IBS, CFS, depression, and anxiety. Ehlers Danlos Syndrome causes me severe pain all the time and frequent dislocations. My knees, shoulders, elbows, hip, and wrists are some of the body parts that dislocate frequently for me. Since I'm 17 I'm working on applying to colleges right now and it's been extremely costly. Both my parents are disabled and have been unemployed for years. I currently don't have insurance and I've been missing my necessary doctors appointments and my medications since my money is going to my college sends. My health has taken a second as it's always been my dream to go off to university and study computer science. My doctors appointments and medications also cost hundreds of dollars in addition to this mess and it's honestly come down to one or the other and I've chosen working to further my education. It's always been my dream to graduate  with honors and go off to university to major in Computer Science. I'm being forced to choose between following my dream or doing the proper things necessary for my physical and mental health.


I've worked hard to do well in school even with being in pain constantly but it's been a struggle. If any of you can spare some money, even just a dollar it would help me greatly. If you are unable to do that even sharing to help it reach a larger audience would help. I really didn't want it to come to this but I really need help. It's taken a toll on my mental health and I still don't have any treatment for my chronic pain. I was hesitant to post this as I find it hard to ask for help but I really do need some.

Money raised will be going towards paying for my medications, doctors appointments and treatments, other medical supplies, and those things only.
