Marcus's Top Surgery

Hello, my name is Marcus Pizer and I'm a senior at South Burlington High School in Vermont. I am a transgender teen and have been on testosterone for about 6 months. I'm raising money for my double incision mastectomy with Dr.Kathy Rumer. This surgery would be a huge part of my transition, and help me with my dysphoria regarding my chest. Go Fund Me takes about 7% of the funds raised, which is why my goal is around $8,500. This will hopefully give me a little money left over to travel to Philadelphia, where Dr.Rumer is. I am hoping to get my surgery during May before the summer so I can swim and do all the things I love without feeling inadequate with my body. This surgery is such a key point to my transition and it would mean the world to me to be able to feel confident with my body and most importantly, my chest. I know everyone can't donate, but sharing this link and getting it around to other people would mean so much to me. I've also been in an article in the local newspaper about the program my mom and I started; Safe Harbour for Trans Teens. We provide a safe place for trans teens to stay when they have nowhere else to go. I was also on WCAX; a local broadcasting system as well, where my mom and I talked about the article and how it has been growing up as transgender. I hope that with the support of friends, family, and even complete strangers, I am able to raise the money to get this life changing surgery.
