Support For The Hopta Family

This site has been set up to help The Hopta Family, Sue, Dave and their 3 children Samantha, Chris and Matt. This family has endured more than their share of heartaches. Sue has been battling breast cancer and now their son Chris is battling for his life.

For those of you who do not know the Hopta's, they are a fun loving, close knit family.

In April of 2009 Sue was diagnosed with breast cancer. After rounds of treatment and a double mastectomy She thought she could move on with life cancer free. Within a few years the cancer returned in several different areas.  Sue has been going through many many rounds of chemo and just finished radiation treatment to try and relieve some of the pain her in back.
Through all this pain and suffering Sue has always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She fights this horrible disease with every ounce of strength she has because the most important thing in her life is her family.  Being with them making memories, having family dinners and going camping together no matter how sick she feels.

On Wednesday September 30th tragedy struck this family again.  Their son Chris was hospitalized and is in a coma fighting for his life. Chris is a fearless fun loving guy. He always greets you with a huge smile. Chris has a love and talent for music.  He is an avid BMX and  dirt bike  rider.  He always greets his mom with a "Hi Momma, how are ya?" Then would give her a big hug and kiss!  They have been by his side the entire time. This has been a devastating blow to the family.

Many people have reached out asking how to help. Here is an easy way to show your support and take some of the financial stress off of them. The medical bills from Sue's treatments alone are overwhelming and now they will have to deal with the mounting bills for their son's stay in ICU.

All the funds raised will go to Sue and Dave to help them with their financial burdens. No donation is too small and whatever help you can give will greatly be appreciated.
