In September 2010 twin boys Max and Harry were born 9 weeks premature. After spending their first 2 months of their lives in incubators, the boys were finally allowed to go home with their family.
Despite their difficult start to life, both Harry and Max thrived at home and always had smiles on their faces whilst playing with family and each other. It wasn’t until two years later, when certain milestones you take for granted were not reached that the boys were diagnosed with a neurological condition called Cerebral Palsy. This condition affects an individual’s co-ordination and movements and is specifically caused by a problem in the parts of the brain responsible for controlling muscles. Although this was upsetting and difficult to come to terms with for all the family, both Harry and Max continue to grow into amazing special children who face all their difficulties with a smile and giggle.
Both Harry and Max continue to access physiotherapy. Harry at the age of 3 took his first few steps on his own and has since never looked back. At 6 years old he even participates in football and dreams of becoming a professional. Max, however, has found things a little tougher and is currently unable to walk by himself. He does however continue to get around on his frame. Both boys work hard every day to carry out tasks the rest of us find easy to do.

Both Harry and Max attend a mainstream school with extra support and are very popular amongst their peers in class due to their kind nature and wonderful sense of humour.
Max’s dream is to be able to walk like his brother and to one day become a doctor. In order to help Max fulfil his dream, we want to raise £10,000 in order to purchase a G Medical Device which will provide coordination therapy on a daily basis and further essential Physiotherapy sessions as the boys get older. This will also benefit Harry and help him improve his coordination as his muscles grow.
Coordinated therapies provides a progressive, safe and effective method of functional rehabilitation for people with neurological conditions such as Cerebral Palsy. The G Medical therapy device is the culmination of 25 years of development in Switzerland. The device uses harmonious movements in coordinated dynamic equilibrium. This results in all four limbs moving together in a synchronized pattern to stimulate the nervous system in a manner similar to walking. There has been many known cases where this machine has improved and helped those with Cerebral Palsy to walk. The unprecedented success of this therapy has been proven in more than 15 scientific studies. This could also help prevent further operations in the future.

We therefore need as much help as possible to achieve a positive and active future for both Max and Harry, please help us to achieve this and we will forever be grateful for your support.
