Tara Needs Our Help!

30 year old Tara Benavidez is well known for her vivacious personality, great sense of humor and love for music.  But most importantly, she is always there for you when you need her.  Now our dear friend Tara needs us to be there  for her. 

For the past couple of months Tara has been incredibly sick.  Extreme fatigue  with a relentless cough has caused her to fracture 2 ribs.  She went in for a routine chest X-Ray that needed an immediate follow up chest CT scan.  They found a large mass in her chest that has been the culprit of the coughing along with the nodules and enlarged lymph nodes.  On November 21st, Tara was diagnosed with Stage 3B Hodgkins Lymphoma.  The prognosis is positive, but she has a long road ahead of her.

Despite the diagnosis, Tara remains extremely upbeat, and is ready to tackle this challenge head-on.  She has already begun her first round of chemotherapy, and will continue treatments every other week for the next 6 months at which point her condition will be reevaluated.

The treatments will take a heavy toll on her body, but we all know she is strong enough to pull through it and go on to do great things with her life.  These treatments will also take a heavy toll on her bank account.  That is where we as friends can help.  Any and every donation is greatly appreciated by Tara, her family and her friends.  It will allow her to focus on what is most important- getting better.
