Taking British Drama to Hollywood

We are a new British Film and TV Production company comprised of Andrew and Lexi; 2 writers, actors and producers (one of whom - Lexi - has won multiple awards for writing).  We have been working on several projects over the last year and we are now ready to present them for funding and to get experienced TV production companies on board.  Unfortunately, being self employed does not in itself make much money, and we are now in a situation where we need to raise the funds in order to make it to AFM (American Film Market ) in November.  AFM is the largest film market in the world, where over $1bn of deals are sealed every year.  We want to take our 2 biggest and most complete projects over there to get them made.  Both of these projects are set in the UK, and while British dramas are hugely popular world-wide, getting the funding in the UK to make them is very difficult. 

We need to get funding in place by the end of September in order to book flights, take advantage of the early booking discounts for AFM (we would need minimum $395 pp for entry) and to try to get hold of some cheap accommodation while there is some still available!

Your support would mean the world to us.  While Lexi has won awards for her writing, this would be an opportunity to get her work out to a wider audience, and to get a recognised British female script writer firmly established.  Not only will it help us get these projects made, but it will help us persue our further goals of getting British talent better recognised internationally, and bring more investment in the arts into the UK.
