Tainui's Fight Against Leukaemia

Tainui Kaihau is a 17 year old Australian Surf life Saver and Surfer who has excelled in all aspects of his life. He is a school student and is about to enter grade 12 at Mountain Creek State High School.
As a talented young man, he has dreams of winning an Australian Board Title and racing along side the best in the Kellogs Nutri Grain Ironman Series.
Unfortionatley, those dreams came to a halt two days ago. On the 19th of January 2016, Tainui was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). ALL is an overproduction of immature white blood cells. These cells crowd the bone marrow, preventing it from making normal blood cells. They can also spill out into the blood stream and circulate around the body. Due to their immaturity, these cells are unable to function properly to prevent or fight infection.
Leukaemia has left Tainui fighting for his life.
Obviously all family and friends were shocked that such a fit, healthy and athletic young man could be struck by such an unforgiving disease.
As you could imagine, the immediate financial burden on the family is something they cannot comprehend in such tough times. Moreover, it would mean the world to his family and friends if Tainui could recieve the best care. All of the money raised will go towards the medical expenses of Tainui's ongoing treatment.
Leukaemia is a disease that affects the entire family. At all times Tainui will need a parent with him, limiting work for his family. Cancer brings an extreme and sudden financial load that is difficult to sustain. Anything you could give in order to relieve this worry will be appreciated forever.
