TAINT Gathering

This summer, we will be hosting a brand new week long gathering called T.A.I.N.T. for up to 100 Two spirit, Agender, Intersex, Nonbinary, Transgender and other gender nonconforming individuals to come together to heal, pray, and celebrate at Wolf Creek. In these challenging times it is especially important for gender diverse folks to come together in nature, work our magic, and support one another.
We won't turn anyone away for lack of funds because we feel it is important that everyone has access to sanctuary and community. Most of us are not financially blessed. As such, we are asking our wider community for loving recognition through donations to make sure we can hold everyone who comes and make this the best possible gathering for many years to come.
The money raised will go toward:
*Helping cover basic gathering costs including food, toilet paper, soap, first aid supplies, propane, etc. ~$1500-2000
* Making the gathering more accessible to disabled folks, people with access needs, and people of color by renting camping gear, mattresses, and shade structures.
*Making reparations to the Takelma people, who are indigenous to the occupied land we gather on.
*Hiring educators for racial justice, conflict engagement, and disability justice trainings (we welcome recommendations).
* Sowing seed money for next year's gathering.
*Giving back to the land.
Dream goals:
*Establishing a travel fund to support those of multiple marginalizations being able to attend.
*Establishing an emergency community fund to help gathering attendees cover medications, food, rent, and other life essentials throughout the year (a constant need in our communities)
*Funding infrastructure projects to make the land more accessible such as building more ramps, better handrails, and an indoor heated BIPOC autonomous space.
*Being able to hire ASL interpreters for next year's gathering.
