Tabey's emergency health procedure

Donation protected
In trying to simplify the situation without sharing the personal details of the procedure needing done, I'm going to share a post my sister, Tabetha Thomas, made on social media. You will find it below. First, a bit more information. Tabey is self employed and works very hard running two business on her own. Between her and her husband, they make ends meet and provide for their beautiful family. Due to so many limitations on insurance available, the emergency procedure that Tabey has to have, is not covered. They can not push the procedure back due to complications and it causing other health issues. I've been watching her put her all into coming up with the funds, but it's near impossible in the amount of time available to do so. I decided to create this account to hopefully help ease that burden, and hopefully if we can reach the goal, also with the burden of missing work for healing from the procedure, which is a major oral surgery scheduled for the 26th of October. Thank you for reading, donating, and sharing....

Tabey's post:

Just a glimpse into my head right now..

Anxiety is horrible. Panic attacks are even worse. Worse than the attacks themselves, the people going through them know that their thoughts or fears are irrational, but lack the power to stop the emotions. Having anxiety about the fact that you have anxiety or you know that something you have to do is going to cause another panic attack, yet having no control to do anything about it or to stop it, is miserable...

I have a procedure coming up very quickly, that I desperately need to be put to sleep for. Time, money and insurance are not on my side. Doctor said we can not wait. Every day that passes proves that it can not be postponed. No time for the pre authorization that is needed from insurance for procedure let alone sedation, even though my doctor called the hospital and insurance himself and tried to push it through without one. I’m literally sick to my stomach with anxiety and fear. And yes I know I will eventually be fine when it’s over, (after several more panic attacks because I’ve just gone through something I believe to be traumatic.) I know I will come through it okay. I know others have the procedure done with no sedation every day. I know the doctors know what they are doing and do it daily. my doctor, the doctors doing the procedure and anyone who has had the procedure done can assure me a million times that it is going to be fine. NONE of that matters. Because I suffer from extreme anxiety and panic attacks...

If you know someone suffering from anxiety and panic attacks.. be supportive.. don’t just keep telling them everything is fine.. they know that in the real world it is, but inside their head it will never be fine. listen to their fears if they want to talk to you about it.. and then try to distract them from it if you can. All we can do is face every minute one at a time.
