Please Donate! We are getting very close to building a great dog park in the Town of Bourne that will provide an area for people and their dogs to socialize and exercise-
Many dogs are adopted and raised by wonderful families and are given wonderful care but there are two things so many of them end up missing throughout their lives . Freedom and canine companionship.
In the 'old days' dogs could roam freely through neighborhoods and meet other dogs. Today the majority of dogs get their exercise only from walking while connected by a leash to their owners. Some never ever have the opportunity to play with,another dog. A dog park changes all of that. It gives them the chance to run freely and romp with others I f their own kind.
Help us to make that happen here in Bourne. We have a and senior center in the beautiful community building . We have parks and playgrounds and beaches and hiking trails for the humans. Bourne will now become a community that shows,we also respect the needs of our four legged friends!
The money we raise here will be used for accessories for the park such as water bowls, toys, rakes, waste bags and dispensers, etc. All maintenance for the park will be provided by a team of volunteers. This means every penny raised here goes directly into the dog park.

The Town of Bourne has more than 3,000 licensed dogs but is without a dog park or any space where dogs can exercise and socialize off leash. Our proposed dog park would give our pets a nice safe place of their own.
The area will allow not only dogs to interact with other dogs but would allow their owners the opportunity to meet each other and share feeding and training tips and also share some fun stories about their furry friends. Many dog parks also sponsor social events to bring together members of the community with their pets such as Halloween puppy parades and parties.
We believe we can build the dog park with no expense to the Bourne taxpayers. To do this we have started a group- The Friends of the Bourne to Bark Dog Park.
To accomplish this goal we need to raise some money!
Please help Bourne to have a dog park by making a tax deductible donation. No donation is to small, or big for that matter!! If all the dog lovers out there donate, we will reach our goal in no time!!
